How to Sow Annual Seeds
FALL (OCT-NOV):
In the area where you want to seed your annuals, rough up about a quarter to half and inch of soil.
*If you want to go above and beyond: Prior to seeding, water the area to encourage weeds to germinate and remove them as they sprout. Repeat as many times as you think are necessary.
If the area isn't irrigated, wait for a day before it’s supposed to rain.
Scatter the seeds over the area and lightly rake over the area so the seeds are covered.
WINTER:
Don't let the area dry out in between rain events! Pull out any weeds that appear.
SPRINg:
Once the plants begin to put on true leaves, cut back on water.
Enjoy the blooms!
summer:
Allow the flower to drop their seeds or collect them for next season!
