Miridae’s physical home base is a ??-acre lot in West Sacramento. Bounded by an old train track and industrial warehouses, our headquarters is slowly being transformed into rich habitat for native plants and wildlife anchored by beautiful existing valley oaks. Our Nursery Manager Brian has been building up our capacity to store and propagate plants. He is also using the space to run experiments such as the Rhizo-mats and also experimenting with propagating different kinds of native plant species.

The site is also a place for designers to observe some of their favorite plant species over the long term. Our streetscape planting has been an invaluable resource for keeping track of seasonal changes and the growth rate of different plants over time.
