Pine Tree Gardens are two residential facilities that support adults living with mental illness. The Pine Tree Gardens Committee asked Miridae to take an existing design plan, transform the mostly non-native plant species to a California native plant palette, and to build the project.  The built landscape elevates the facilities by transforming a previously bare dirt and weed landscape into a lush, pollinator-attracting garden. The garden invites residents outdoors to gather, sit, observe nature, and enjoy a snack.
